About me and my photography.
What can I say about me? Well I am an amateur photographer based in Norfolk for most of my life, married with 3 grown up children whom I am extremely proud of. For the past 14 years I have been a full time carer for my husband who has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
About 5 years ago my husband asked me to accompany him to Wayland District Photographic Club to give him support. I thought about it a bit and although having no interest in photography other than taking the few odd snaps I reluctantly agreed. After a few weeks of listening to other club members, guest speakers and viewing fantastic images I began to look at things in a different way. I would be driving along in the car and think to myself 'That would make a good photograph' so gradually I became hooked.

I started out with a Nikon bridge camera but was soon finding I needed something better as my images were not as good as others I had seen. My husband was still on his original bridge camera but I had progressed onto Nikon DSLR's and was soon beating him in club competitions. After 2 years he gave up photography but I was still going great guns with my skills ever improving. The year 2017 saw a big turning point for me. Fed up with lugging a heavy backpack around I decided to trade all my gear in for an Olympus OM-D EM10 mkii mirrorless camera and my photography has just taken off.

As you can see from my images I like to take a diverse range of subjects and I'm not scared to be a bit creative. I love the unusual and quirky, hence the long exposure and multiple exposure shots. I was very pleased to be awarded
'Highly Commended' for a panel of 6 multiple exposure flower prints.
Coming 4th out of 26 is not bad for my first external competition!
Wherever you look there is a photograph waiting to be taken.

Thank you to WDPC for all their support and thank you for taking the time to view my webpage.
